Polymarket odds converter

Convert a prediction-market contract price to implied probability, American odds, and decimal odds. Same math traders use to read a ¢ quote as a percent — no account, no network request.

A 34¢ share implies 34% probability, American +194, decimal 2.941. Math runs in your browser — nothing is sent to Polydata or Polymarket.

Why ¢ equals percent

A Polymarket YES share pays $1 if the outcome wins and $0 if it loses. Paying 34¢ for that share is equivalent to laying 34% implied probability. NO is the complement (about 66¢ when YES is 34¢), ignoring spread. That is why “Polymarket odds to probability” is a unit conversion, not a model.

FAQ

How do you convert Polymarket odds to probability?

On Polymarket the YES share price in cents is the implied probability in percent. A 34¢ YES contract implies a 34% chance the event resolves YES. The same number in dollars (0.34) is that probability as a fraction.

How do American and decimal odds map to a prediction-market price?

Decimal odds are 1 ÷ probability (34% → 2.941). American odds use the sportsbook moneyline: favorites are negative (−194 at 66%), underdogs are positive (+194 at 34%). Convert either way with the fields above — they stay in sync.

Is implied probability the true chance the event happens?

No. Implied probability is just the price the market is offering. It embeds trader views, liquidity, and risk — it is not an oracle forecast. Use it as a quote, then check volume, whales, and resolution rules on Polydata.

Does this converter place a trade?

No. Polydata is research-only and never executes trades. The converter runs entirely in your browser with no API call. To trade you use Polymarket or another venue of your choice.
