Polymarket analytics without the brokerage
Polydata is a free-first research terminal for Polymarket: wallet PnL, Smart Score, whale prints, market participants, and the deepest weather desk — built to explain the market, never to execute your trades.
What is Polymarket analytics?
Polymarket turned prediction markets into a liquid, always-on arena for politics, crypto, sports, culture, and weather. With that scale came a second problem: raw activity is noisy. Thousands of wallets trade thousands of outcomes. Screenshots of a leaderboard or a single CLOB chart are not enough to answer simple research questions — who is actually making money, which prints moved a market, which participants dominate a condition, and where forecast desks disagree with the book.
Polymarket analytics means systematic measurement of that activity: realized profit and loss by wallet, behavior and bot-likelihood signals, large-fill tapes, participant rankings, and vertical desks that combine market data with external context. It is the research layer on top of the exchange — comparable to what market-data terminals do for equities, but tuned to contingent claims that resolve to yes/no cash.
Good analytics for Polymarket typically includes at least five surfaces. First, trader portfolios with transparent PnL definitions so two researchers can debate numbers instead of guessing. Second, whale and flow views that surface size without forcing you into a trade ticket. Third, market structure — prices, recent fills, and who has been most active. Fourth, specialized verticals (weather is the clearest example) where external forecasts matter as much as the order book. Fifth, methodology and freshness so you know when a figure is realized cash, when it is a proxy, and how stale the index might be.
Who needs this? Independent researchers, journalists, fund analysts, quant hobbyists, and serious Polymarket participants who want to study edge before they size risk. Polydata is built for that audience: free core pages, deep trader and weather tooling, and an explicit promise that we are not a brokerage fork of an old analytics brand.

Trader PnL tracker and Smart Score
The center of Polydata research is the trader profile. Look up a Polymarket username or a 0x address and you get a research dossier: realized PnL, win rate, profit factor, equity path, timing patterns, bot signals, and Smart Score. Profiles are linked from the global leaderboard and from the Analyzed index of wallets we have already scored.
Smart Score compresses many dimensions into a 0–100 research rating — consistency, risk management, diversification, timing, and automation likelihood among them. It is deliberately not a buy/sell recommendation. High scores can still lose money; low scores can still print. Use it as a prior when comparing wallets, not as a signal to copy.
Bot detection sits beside Smart Score so mechanical patterns — night-only activity, hyper-regular sizing, extreme market churn — are visible instead of hidden in a vanity PnL number. Together these tools answer the question researchers actually ask: is this wallet interesting, and why?

Whale feed: large Polymarket prints
Size moves narrative. The Polydata whale feed is a live tape of individual fills at or above a notional threshold — from $5,000 up to $1,000,000 — in two lookbacks: the last hour for fresh flow and the last 24 hours for context. Each row is one participation: wallet, market, side, and USD notional, indexed from on-chain trading activity.
This is intentionally not a lifetime volume leaderboard. Lifetime ranks reward age and churn; a whale tape rewards what just happened. Switch the min-size filter when you want only mega-prints, or leave it low to watch the fuller tape. Click a wallet to open the trader profile; click through to market pages when you need the book.
Market screener, holders, and flow
Market pages on Polydata combine live pricing context with participation analytics. You can inspect recent on-chain fills, related outcomes in an event, whale positioning over 24h and 7d windows, and top participants ranked by recent traded volume on that condition. “Holders” here is an analytics proxy for who has been most active — not a brokerage inventory of shares you can buy from us.
There is no order ticket on these pages. That is a product choice: screens stay readable for research and journalism, and we never pretend to be your execution venue. If you need to trade, you leave for Polymarket; if you need to understand who showed up and how large, you stay.
Weather markets desk
Weather is one of Polymarket’s deepest, most operationally demanding verticals: dozens of cities, bracket structures, and forecasts that update on a different clock than politics memes. Polydata runs a dedicated weather desk — city grids, forecast evolution, and multi-source context including NOAA, Weather Underground, and OpenWeatherMap — so researchers can compare the book to the atmosphere without stitching five tabs together.
If your “polymarket analytics” query is really “who is sharp on NYC highs this week,” this is the surface that earns the niche. Weather is also where independent analytics has a structural advantage over trade-first clones: the product is judgment support, not a one-click bet button.
How we compute realized PnL
Trust in analytics starts with definitions. Polydata’s headline trader profit is realized: net cash from buys and sells, plus payouts when winning outcomes resolve. That matches the spirit of Polymarket’s closed / realized site profit — not a full mark-to-market of every open share.
Open positions are therefore not fully folded into the headline number. Rebates, merges/splits, NegRisk conversions, and indexing lag can also create gaps versus the Polymarket UI. When wallets diverge, treat the gap as a research signal: inspect the tape and methodology before you trust either number as gospel.
We publish the longer explanation on a dedicated page so product UI stays clean and auditors can still challenge us.
Why independent analytics beats a trade-first clone
After legacy Polymarket analytics brands were pulled toward brokerage UX, the market filled with “Trade Now” overlays, copy-trade funnels, and dashboards optimized for conversion instead of measurement. That can be a valid business — it is just a different product category.
Polydata occupies the independent lane on purpose. We do not host an order ticket. We do not run copy-trading. We invest in Smart Score, whale tapes, holders, weather forecasts, and published methodology. If you want execution, use Polymarket. If you want to research wallets and markets without a sales desk in the chrome, use Polydata.
API for builders
The same analytics stack that renders these pages is available to builders via API. Join the waitlist, read the docs, and keep secrets on the server — Polydata never puts private keys in the browser. Start from the developers page when you need programmatic trader, market, whale, or weather data.
Polymarket analytics FAQ
What is Polymarket analytics?
Polymarket analytics is research tooling for prediction-market wallets and markets: realized PnL, win rates, large prints, participant rankings, and specialized desks such as weather. It is distinct from a brokerage — the goal is understanding flow and performance, not placing orders.
Is Polydata free?
Yes for core research surfaces: trader lookup, whale feed, market screens, weather markets, and methodology. Builders can join the API waitlist for programmatic access. Polydata never charges by executing your trades — we do not execute trades at all.
Do you execute trades or offer copy-trading?
No. Polydata is research-only. There is no Trade Now button, no hosted order ticket, and no copy-trade product. If you trade, you do it on Polymarket or another venue of your choice.
How does Polydata compute trader PnL?
Headline wallet profit is realized cash flow: sells minus buys plus payouts on resolved winning outcomes. Open books are not fully marked into that headline figure. Differences vs Polymarket UI usually come from open vs closed treatment, rebates, NegRisk conversions, and indexing lag. See the methodology page for detail.
What is Smart Score?
Smart Score is a 0–100 research composite that blends consistency, risk, timing, diversification, and bot-likelihood signals. It is not financial advice and not a forecast of future returns.
What does the whale feed show?
Individual fills at or above a size threshold (from $5k up to $1M), in last-hour and last-24-hour windows. Each row is one participation — wallet, market, side, and notional — refreshed on a live tape.
How is this different from PolyGun / trade-first analytics forks?
Trade-first platforms optimize for order flow and brokerage UX. Polydata optimizes for transparent research: PnL methodology, Smart Score, whales, holders, and weather depth — without an execution desk.
Can I look up any Polymarket wallet?
You can open traders by username or address. Profiles in our analytics index load immediately; others may take a moment to resolve from public Polymarket data and on-chain activity.
What are weather markets on Polydata?
A dedicated desk for Polymarket city temperature / weather markets with multi-source forecasts (including NOAA, Weather Underground, and OpenWeatherMap) alongside market structure — research for one of Polymarket’s deepest verticals.
Is there an API?
Yes for builders. Public docs and a waitlist live on the developers page. Site pages use the same analytics stack; the browser never sees secret API keys.
